The book contains more than 200 stories from the Old Testament written in modern English for adults and young adults—told in simple language without being simplistic.  You will see the kings, prophets, and peoples of the Old Testament as you have never seen them before as the stories unfold in chronological sequence. You will also see that they were much like we are—they were not perfect either.

 The same stories are told as in the first edition (2007), but some stories have been enhanced by new insights, the scope of some stories has been expanded, errors have been corrected, the language has been tightened up to eliminate verbal redundancies, and many new  footnotes have been added to provide more background information and greater insight.
